Help with Linnet · Last updated 22 October 2026
Linnet is an iPhone and iPad app that writes serial fiction from your own idea, one chapter at a time, and lets your choices steer it.
Contact
Write to hello@awake-sagas.com. Linnet is made by one person, Fabian Schneider, and I read every message myself.
It helps if you include the email address that Linnet shows under Settings → Account, and the name of the saga if your question is about one.
Postal address: Fabian Schneider, Dorf 53, 6306 Söll, Austria. More in the Imprint.
Restoring purchases
The books you unlock and your membership belong to your Linnet account, not to a device. On a new iPhone or iPad, sign in with the same account as before (Apple or Google): your sagas and unlocked books come back with it. Then open Settings → Restore purchases to connect an App Store membership to the account again.
A membership stays with the Linnet account it was bought with and can’t be moved to another one. If something you bought still doesn’t show, write to me with the order ID from Apple’s receipt email.
Cancelling a membership
A membership is an App Store subscription, so you cancel it with Apple: on your iPhone or iPad, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Linnet → Cancel Subscription. In Linnet, Settings → Manage subscription opens the same place. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, or the next period is charged.
The membership stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and the chapters written during it stay in your library. Deleting the app or your Linnet account doesn’t cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Deleting your account
In Linnet, open Settings → Delete account. This deletes every saga, chapter and narration, your settings and the books you have unlocked, and it can’t be undone. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more, so that Linnet’s access to your Apple ID can be revoked.
Purchase records are kept for seven years, because Austrian tax law requires it; they hold no name or email address. The Privacy Policy lists what is kept and why. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a membership, so cancel that first, as described above.
To delete a single saga, touch and hold it in your library and choose Delete saga.
How Linnet uses AI
Every pitch, prologue and chapter is written by Anthropic’s Claude, and narration comes from a speech model that Linnet reaches through OpenRouter. Before your first pitch, Linnet shows you what goes to these services and sends nothing until you agree. They receive the story’s text and its settings, not your email address or your Apple or Google account.
No person writes or checks a chapter before you read it, so a chapter can be inconsistent or wrong. The details are in the AI terms, and in the app under Settings → How Linnet uses AI.
Reporting a problem with a story
If a chapter is harmful, illegal or seriously wrong, or a saga misbehaves (a chapter that contradicts the story so far, a choice that leads nowhere, narration that doesn’t match the text), write to hello@awake-sagas.com with the saga’s name, the book and chapter, and what happened. I look at a saga only to fix a problem you report, as the Privacy Policy describes.
If a chapter stops while it is being written, Linnet offers Try again. That is usually all it takes.
