Linnet

AI terms

Your sagas are written with AI. To write them and read them to you, Linnet sends what you give it to two AI services. This is what goes where. Linnet shows you the same notice before your first pitch and sends nothing until you agree. You can read it again in the App under Settings → How Linnet uses AI.

What goes where

Writing. Your ideas, edits, notes and choices, with the story so far, go to Anthropic’s Claude, which writes the pitch, the prologue and every chapter.

Narration. When you listen, the chapter’s text goes through OpenRouter to a speech model, which reads it aloud.

Not sent. Your email address and your Apple or Google account aren’t sent to them. Only the story’s text is.

Writing, in detail

For writing, Claude receives:

Claude writes the pitch, the prologue, every chapter and the choices at their end, and keeps the saga’s working notes on its world and characters up to date.

Narration, in detail

When you listen to a chapter or prologue, its text goes through OpenRouter, a service that passes requests to AI models, to a speech model that reads it aloud. It receives the text, the voice and speed you chose, and your style note for the narrator. Which speech model reads it depends on the saga’s language: currently OpenAI’s GPT Audio Mini for German, and Kokoro, an openly published speech model run by one of OpenRouter’s providers, for the other languages. I can change these models; whichever reads a chapter receives the same through OpenRouter. The audio is stored with your saga so it can be played again.

Not sent

Your email address and your Apple or Google account aren’t sent to these services, and neither are your name or your Linnet user ID. Only the story’s text is, together with the settings above. What you write into a saga is sent as you wrote it, so please don’t put personal information about yourself or other real people into it.

Why your agreement is needed

Linnet can’t write without these services, so it needs your agreement first. If you don’t agree, you can sign out, and nothing has been sent to them. Your agreement is stored with your account, with its date and the version of the notice you agreed to. If what is sent, or who it goes to, changes, Linnet asks you again. To stop all processing, delete your account under Settings → Delete account. The Privacy Policy has the details: legal bases, where data is processed, and how long it is kept.

Everything in a saga is generated

The pitch, the prologue, every chapter, the characters, the world, the consequences of your choices and the spoken narration are all produced by AI models. No person writes, reviews or fact-checks a chapter before you see it.

It can be wrong

AI output can be inaccurate, inconsistent from one chapter to the next, biased, or simply invented. Nothing in a saga is a statement of fact, and nothing is advice: medical, legal, financial or otherwise. Don’t rely on it for real-world decisions. Any resemblance to real people, places or events is coincidental.

Mature themes and intimacy

Linnet is for adults. Sagas may include violence, crime, death, distress, sexual content and other mature themes, often shaped by the ideas and choices you give. Violence can happen, but it is never prolonged, gratuitous or sadistic: no lingering on torture or gore. Nothing you write into a saga changes that.

You set intimacy for each saga, starting from what its pitch suggests: how often it happens (Rarely, Sometimes, Often) and how far it reaches the page. Closed door keeps it off the page. Suggestive gives a few lines, then white space. Sensual, the most there is, puts it on the page in literary language, never graphic. Nothing you write into a saga can take it further than you set.

The AI services have their own safety rules. They may tone down or decline some scenes, whatever the setting.

Synthetic voices

Narration is computer-generated speech. The voices are synthetic and are not recordings of real people.

Reporting

Not every generated chapter can be checked in advance. If something is harmful, illegal or seriously wrong, please tell me at hello@awake-sagas.com.
